you'll be surprised, when i get the frame done/painted is just a matter of assembly. the front end is done, mate has the silver parts for shot blasting, then I can use the scout hut as a paint shop whether it starts/works or not is another matter though
  2. the 400 engine will slot straight in, the brakes are the same throughout the range I'm afraid. just need to make sure that they are either points or electronic ignition engines, although you can convert if you search this forum.
  3. Being DOHC, I would think you would be a ble to do it as when the cams are out there would be enough chain slack to tie up. I'd suggest getting a manual. I know that haynes never did one so it would have to be an original Yam one. I'm sure they are out there somewhere.

I see what your saying Paul, but all the manual states that the right left bearing put in the casing and the right on the crank! I just followed that. I got a lead for a guy in Bury who may be able to help whether he takes off the bearing and fits it that way, I'm not bothered, so long as the crank is fitted on that side! cheers for the info

it is on the Gilera as per Gilera manual one side the bearing is in the case and the other is on the crank, looks like it pulls the crank through

  15. try a bit of choke and see if it helps. Its not really a choke but an enrichment device so your adding fuel.# could be that the carbs need cleaning as with all old bikes

  17. white wires are the output from the alternator to the rectifier, doesn't matter which way they are as they all output the same! if you have a manual the wiring diagram should give you the info.

damn and blast, had the day off today to build the bottom end and the crank with bearing on won't go in the case without a press. I've tried heating the case and freezing the crank and it didn't work I've asked kev if he knows any one in the Bolton area who could do it but if anyone local to me (manchester) can do it let me know cheers Drewps
  19. never fancied Assassins creed played tomb raider, the old versions. I did try and play dead space but it got really tedious after a bit, and then I tried S.T.A.L.K.E.R. which was great at first then the shit AI kicked and and the bugs and made it unplayable.
