be careful bumping some bikes (triumph), it kills the starter clutch, even with a sluggish battery because of kickback
  4. heat shrink will eventually close up and kill the engine, might be funny or it might go tits up pulling out of a junction!!

I've made lugs with Plastec. You get this silicone putty which when cold is hard, heat it up with boiling water and make a mould from the opposite number. transfer to the broken side and use the powder plastec stuff and let it set. simples
  9. might be just locked in there, I think that was what Paul was saying. maybe the chain is too worn. Can you pull more than 1/2 link actually when its on the rear sprocket? has the brake lever dropped because return spring come undone?
  10. foams, just weld a nut onto the stud it'll come out no probs. best to shield the rest of the engine though so no splatter gets in there

good buy, after a paint job, will look really good
  15. relays are very reliable, fitted 2 to the tracker to facilitate micro switches. buy them from Maplin. you will also get zero battery drain, and you need all the amps you can get feeding the pilot lamp

batteries tend to be fubarred if they drain down below 10v. there is a battery place on Bright road near you where I got my Gel battery for the FZ http://premierbatteryservices.co.uk/ he's a sole trader so delivers himself, give him a bell first
  17. I've signed it, but what difference it makes is anyones guess https://www.change.org/p/minister-of-transport-reduce-road-tax-on-motorcycles?
  18. the hardest part will be to find somewhere to put it securely its just a heavy duty switch using small amp electric to activate it (the switched live in this instance via ignition key)
  19. good buy and fairly local too Just got another CDI for the XJ engine, £5 so now I have 3
  20. def use a relay, activated on a brown switched live
