some peeps have left them in ok. you can get them (I had a set and sold them on) but they need destroying to remove I just sprayed mine in PJ1 and they looked great

I'd get the coats professionally laquered so they can get a few coats on there and then cut down. should be the dogs danglies

nah, keep it on the main stand, a little oil will weep out. I'd get a gasket for that cover too.

good batteries should be on 13 volts, yours is below that. 13.4 running is ok for a 11 volt base line. Its a field coil system so the battery creates the magnetism, low battery, low charging output

could be, batteries don't really last all that well in a motorcycle

on the float bowl, see the little drilling on the lip? shoot some carb cleaner down it, thats the choke route.
