  1. Hey barwell yea but the Aprilla Gilera is a very light and small bike, the dragstar is like 150 kilos dry weight 4 stroke, cruiser....but yes i have hit the 65 mark on a long dual carriageway (straight) but i remember Ttaskmaster saying that this bike can hit 70 in 4th???? i want to see this...my bike only has 5000 miles so i dnt see why that would be affecting it
  2. oh glad you got it fixed mmmm lol!!! classic...so weres my reply?
  3. Yea im not getting why i keep hearing that the dragstar can hit 70 in 4th gear, a lot of people have said 55-60 max. i have pushed 65 on dual carriage way but nothing over that. And my bike only has 5.5k on it. and only had 1900 when i got it.

  10. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT ONE U DESERVE IT!!!!
  11. Folks i have had the same problem, i though it was electrical, then i checked fuel it seems when i get under half a tank the bike tells me that im empty and need to go to reserve (that feeling u get when u have to flip to reserve) as we dont have fuel indicators!!! so i tried a theory i let the bike go down to half a tank thn i got the same feeling, flippedd it on reserve and hey presto.......worked fine I then got some fuel cleaning gear that u just pour into the tank and kept her topped up then tried and tested the theory of it being a fuel problem and it is..possibly fuel filter blockage at a certain point...but the more i run through with the fuel cleaner the less it happens ...worth a try than going and getting a new crank shaft for £800 haha
  12. ok Ok the HOSE then lol , nah good point i tried to remeber a name for it but all i could come p with is wire......or long things coming from your brakes haha
  13. Hey buddy how goes it!!! Nice pic you took!! your problem must lie within the wire, must be too much/not enough slack somewere (if you cant adjust it anywere else) we should have a look to see....two newbs better than one haha
  14. Hey man, I had this problem myself, check that there is not bits of grit/salt/dirt between the pads and the disc, this can result in a noise like the ones u described, also check the threads on ur screws round the caliper incase something is loose. the continous contact with pads to disc sounds familiar, just make sure there is no friction/tension when freewheeling or ur pads are too close... P.S im no expert!!! just suggestions...........also check brake fluid is topped up
  15. Hey all I recently got new spark plugs in my fragstar! (125) the bit of rubber that fastens the plastic cap to the spark nut has came off and i have lost it. So the Spark cap is loose...would this be why i can only start the bike on choke then when i slighty touch the acceleration i lose all power, cant start it at all with no choke, it just makes the ignition sound and that is all. Im hoping i am right and this si what is causing the problem .......how difficult would it be could get that rubber bit .....and how much i wouldnt think they would be easy to get Advice would be greatly appreciated
