No don`t think so drewpy, Were the bleed nipple should be has been drilled out, (not very well), and filled with some hard "gunk" i removed this, the hole is huge, i`ve tried all sort`s to fix it, before i went the "sod it get another route", Re taped, new nipples various size`s, you know the sort of thing, I rarely give up easily, Many thanks, Mark.

Sorry drewpy it`s been a long day, There`s two bolt`s that go through the mounting bar not the caliper to the fork, Horizontally to the bike, And one other long bolt part of the mounting, that go`s through the caliper, that it swivels on that run`s parallel to the fork, I hope i`ve explained a little better, cheers mate, Mark.

Hiya drwepy, i was just about to send you a message, YOU DA MAN, Removed pilot screws, well blunt, Got the wifes board thingy for her nails and got "THE LOOK" you know the one, And proceeded ta sharpen the needles, Worked a treat, (will replace as soon as), The needles not the board, Still a bit erratic, but a lot better, need to ride her now, Can only be good for the bike, not been on the road for a long long time, you certainly know your stuff, Well now this bleeding caliper, It`s a single cylinder, And can swivel on the spindle that threads all the way through, ie the caliper moves freely of the fork mounting, only a little way, Pads not round, Am i making any sense?, Thanks for keeping in touch, All the best, Mark. P.S. been trying to upload pics no joy.
  12. Same old story, The wife and i went to Spec Savers To get hers, Arm and a leg job, Don`t think shes had them on yet, The point is, We lived on tenerife for many years, Before coming back, I "resupplied" Had a long eye test, Two sets of bins Cleaning gear, the whole shabang, ( all for under a pound ya no), 90, euro`s about £50 then, So WHY are things so bleedin expensive here, Sorry, I`ve been told not to get agitated. AND ANOTHER THING...........

Hiya Fellers, Thanks for your help so far, Well i can now start the old girl no probs, Even first kick, I KNOW, What am i doing kicking over a bike at my age? ( Its a man thing), After some considerable "tweaking" She`ll sit nicely at 12/13000revs, Untill shes warm then the revs shoot up to 30,000 and not come down, Same thing when i "throttle up" revs will come back down to 30,000 and no further, The throttle cable is in good shape, carb slides are clean, And spring looks fine, I`ve tried adjusting the throttle stop screw, and the mixture screw, No good, What have i forgot?, Any insight will be a great help. As always thank you, Mark.

Hi Jim, Many thank`s for your help, I think the prob`s with this bike are mostly neglect, Most of the wiring is SHOT, Today i`ve been sorting and DRYING as much as i could, Got the old girl fired up, But very erratic on idle, Still slight blow back into filters, And miner misfiring, Not to bad at all when on higher rev`s, I put this down to too much unburnt fuel, will adjusting the mixture screw help?, Also there is a split on the fuel line as it joins the R/H manifold, (good thinking), Now about this tube Blowing in the wind, from engine to airbox so some sort of vent?, What do i do with it?, YES I`ve left myself open for a pun there, Many thank`s , Mark.
