Hi i need some advice on a problem with my 650 dragstar the battery runs flat when i use my lights its got a new battery and a new reg rectifier i thought it was one or the other but no i still have the same problem any ideas on what it could be

could be the heat shield on the exhaust....just a thought that happend on my mates 125

Think i read somewhere the 650 is a blown up 535 engine

Hi Taskmaster should have said i did not brake all of these myself.only one just thought it may be a problem that was common.all engines have done 20,000-30,000 miles.mine started knocking on the way back from wooton bassett last weekend so its back to the shed for me.time to get me spanners out.the nickname dragstar came about when i was the first to get a dragstar in the village now we have five owners and i own three aswell.used to be such a quiet village lol.

At last got it sorted it was the earth from the starter switch thanks go to mike who sent me in the right direction

Hi i got a problem with my xv it wont start from the button i have got a new battery on it i get sound you get when the battery is dead have taken the starter motor off and put power through it and it spins put it back on the bike and nothing anybody got ideas thanks in advance

Hi have got two myself only problems i come up against is the starter motors apart from that bloody good bike always found evilbay a good place to find parts

I got some on my 650star for a year now no problems so far

Hi King_3 yea could be test the reg/rect and see what voltage you got going into your battry

Think i saw a kit in the uk was for the 650 though £500 i think it was on ebay

Ok here we go about a year a go i put a new battery on a 125 dragstar (because the old one had swelled up to bursting point)just had a look and the new one has done the same anybody else had this problem and sorted it out please let us know

Had that happen to me too i found a secondhand rear wheel on evilbay did the job will be making sure they are tight this time
