    DT400 reed valve

    I have a '77 DT400 that needs a new reed valve. I found and bought one for a '78 model (Have not received it yet) According to a Yamaha web site the '77 & '78 have different part #'s.I'm replacing the cage and reed assembly. Both are four reed set-ups though. My question is should this one for the '78 work in the '77. Thanks for any help.

    New guy here. I have a '77 dt400 that I just bought. I need the reed valves for this thing. Can someone tell me what years will work? I have a prospect for one from a '75 will it work? I'm looking at the complete valve with cage. I'd also like to find a titled frame. This thing was stripped down several years just to run in the dirt. Theres no telling where or who had the last title. I'd like to make it road worthy again if possible.
