hi dont mean to sound stupid but what is tps as the rev counter goes to 8000 regards tim

hi i have a problem with my thundercat it will not start, it pops and farts good spark at plugs and they are all wet with petrol but refuses to run, plus rev counter keeps going up on its own?? and suggestions welcome as i am at a lose thanks tim
