ok so is this going to happen as my bike is in paint and will be going for its photo shoot in 3weeks time i would like to do my part in getting more poeple here.

im always happy to help other bikers. im me and ill give you my number. this one is almost finished now lol was meant to take all winter lol got new top fairing though today tank should be here tomorrow and new side fairing is on its way to i have put a deposit on a 2005 R1 to strip down and rebuild as a BSB spec race bike i should be picking that up with in the next two weeks all i have left to do to the r6 is to fit the motogp can,make sure everything works and it rides true then send all the fairings off to paint re-fit then put to bed till summer ill be like a dog with 3 dicks next summer my race spec zx10r show bike this r6 and the r1 ill be half way though lol

ive got two weeks to finish this as im starting my next one soon full bsb yamaha R1 that im building for swinton bike insurance we are running a by weekly diary on there web site of a photo diary build of the bike so you can see the bike from just frame and engine upto full race bike now thats something you will never see with a race team.

ok so R1 front end done. on to the next thing the fairings i have now cut the rear sub frame and fitted 2008 R6 rear seat. i did try and fit 2008 R6 fairings but no go.

no not yet waiting for the top yoke to come.

04 to 06 R1 calipers fitted to the 2003 R6 04 to 06 R1 top yoke will be here tomorrow along with the 320mm R1 brake discs hoping it's just a case of replace the discs and mount the top yoke and the front end is complete apart from the front fender and the s/s brake line. heres hoping

are the 2004 to 2008 r1 clocks the same as the 2006 2008 r6 clocks that look the same? also can you fir the r1 clocks to a 2003 bike?

it had only taken me an hour to change the front end but when i bolted it up i could only get one bolt on not two when i looked into it the shaft on the R1 was shorter then the R6 so i dropped of the R6 lower yoke to have the shaft pressed out and im going down tomorrow to have the R1 shaft removed and have the R6 shaft repressed into the R1 lower yoke. i have monted up the clip-ons and the clutch and the brembo master and calipers i have some CRG leavers on there way to me and also a set of 2006 R1 wheels as i need the 320mm discs. so what do you need to fit a 2004 to 2006 R1 front end onto a 2003 2004 r6 04 06 R1 USD forks 04 06 R1 clip-ons 04 06 R1 lower yoke 04 06 R1 top yoke 04 06 R1 calipers brake lines and master 04 06 R1 front fender 04 06 R1 320mm disc's 04 06 R1 front spindle 2003 R6 main shaft repressed into the R1 lower yoke. you can use to 2003 front wheel as the 2003 to 2005 R6 and 2004 to 2008 R1 front wheels are the same its just the disc's that change. you will need to drill out the snap off bolts to from the ignition from the 2003 r6 top yoke.
