  1. Thanks very much for this. Have done some further research on the net and found that quite often the wider of the two breather hoses gets blocked or kinked leaving just the narrow hose to do the job. Apparently it's not up to it and the best thing to do is to replace it with a short section of braided hosepipe. Seems to make sense to me so unless there are any other obvious faults with the bike I'll snap the little bad boy up. John.

  3. I'm looking to but a Yamaha XJ600. The one I've seen is very tidy (1999) and has fairly low miles on the clock, 28,000. The owner tells me that it has a small oil leak from the airbox (?). What could be the cause and would it be expensive to sort?
