Hi I am strugling to find much info on the bike I am going to look at this weekend I am looking for a YZF R6 1998-2003 model, please can you give me any common faults on these I am kind of aware of the 2nd gear thing but any info on that would be appreciated. I am hopping to get one with milage from 10-20k and dont want to buy a lemon. I have tried searching this forum but you cant search for r6 as the search needs to be minimum 3 letters long per word, also I have looked on the internet for r6 forums yamaha forums but I cant really find any good ones so if you could point me to a more specified forum that would also be great. Hi all I am looking for some help please, I am hopefully going to be buying an R6 1999-2003 model do you call it a mk1?. Does anybody know any goos sites specific to these bikes or any info for what I should check and look out for on this particular model. Any advice will be greatly recived as I am new to the bikes and dont want to buy a lemon, I have around 2500 to spend and it looks like I can get a good'un for that.
