  1. Rear Wheel spacing problem on a 1982 Virago 920 – I have noticed that the rear wheel is very close to the frame on the left side [shaft side] upper portion On my 1982 Virago, maybe an 1/8”. Looks like it could be trouble. It does not hit it. How could I space the wheel further away from the side frame at the top? I noticed on a 1982 Virago 750 the tire space was about a ¼” away from the top frame. How do we fix this problem? I would appreciate any assistance . Thanks, Mel
  2. Yamaha Virago 1982 starter noise on a 750 and a 920 I just bought these bikes. They sound like marbles in a tin can after the motor starts for at least 5 to 10 seconds. I have heard that this is a common problem from the day it came out of the showroom. Is there any correct and proper fix to make this starter release after the motor starts? Where would you get the parts? How do you fix it? Is it worth it? I would appreciate any assistance to this . Thanks, Mel
  3. Virago Club Appearance problem on a 1982 Virago 750 I just bought the bike last week and I am noticing that the crank shaft covers center circles that look like chrome but they are foil type material that are cracking and peeling off. Also, there are 2 round cup unit covers again chrome like foil, that are doing the same. I am wondering, does anybody have this problem? How to fix or do something with this foil chrome? I would appreciate any assistance to this . Thanks, Mel
