TBH ive got an Xbox 360, and it hasnt even been plugged in for 8 months, im always either working on the cars or the bikes or out and about on my adventures.
i remember when PS2 games were £20-£30 when they came out and i used to wait until the price dropped because that was waaay too much (bearing in mind i had only pocket money to buy them with).
when COD came out and people were queuing overnight to be the first to get it, then spending £50 on a game and all the associated tat that comes with it (wifi controllers, online membership e.t.c) i lost all interest in gaming, i may occasionally buy a game for my phone for 89p but the way i see it i can spend the same money i would to buy a game on some DT50 wheel bearings and spend a couple of evenings rebuilding wheels.
much the same reason i haven't built my own gaming PC, ive got an old toshiba laptop that i bought in a clearance sale about 4 years ago and the spec is actually as good as most mid-range laptops today, it wont run anything massively demanding but GTA vice city, minecraft, Spyro, H.A.W.X and games of that ilk it handles just fine, i even run a Playstation emulator through it, and thats enough to keep me occupied
