  3. Nothing wrong with food in the bedroom...
  4. That's just the stator cover is it not?. I had An XT apart not long ago (same engine) and those cases are full of oil gallerys and ports, more than likely will just need a gasket change, iirc you can split the cases without having to take the top end apart if you are crafty about how you do it. But you shouldn't need to come that far. I'd be more concerned as to why there is oil behind that case in the first place as I'm sure the stator was dry...
  5. Yeah those fins are definitely not healthy, give it a wiggle and see if there is any play in the shaft itself, may also be good practice to change the belt and rollers and see how it feels after that.
  6. A woman goes to the doctor with a strawberry shoved up her arse... Th doctor says, "ive got some cream for that..."
  7. Hiya peeps. I've had my FJ1200 ABS for almost a month now, and it's a cracking bike, reminds me of when that crazy texan guy was riding the nuclear bomb in the film Dr Strangelove. But anyway, I've just changed the clutch master and slave cylinder seals, sorted out the dodgy wiring that made the headlight flicker and a few other bits and pieces, but theres a few things left to do; Dashboard lamps, I'm sure only one of them is working because I can't see my fuel gauge, clock or speedo below 90mph at night, what size and type of bulb do I need?. The speedometer face is loose within the dashboard, you can see it rattling around in there, how can I get the cluster out and secure the speedo face? The Scottoiler... How the feck does it work and how do I adjust it?. Fairing noise, especially around 3000rpm it's diabolical! Help would be appreciated peeps
  8. Why couldn't the coast guard save the drowning hippy?... Cus he was too far out maaaan.

  12. I had an old suzuki swift as my first car which got t-boned by a taxi driver, made a right mess of the drivers door, insurance company reckoned it would have cost about £600 for a new door and all the paint e.t.c and the car wasnt even worth £1000, so they paid me out for it and wrote the car off as Cat C
  13. You do have scrapn categories of write-off, A and B basically Completely scrap, C is repairable but needs to be inspected before they will reissue the registration, D Is minor damage, can be repaired and no inspection needed
  14. Holy shit what a douchebag that guy is, and his girlfriend sounds kinda hot, why do they always end up dating assholes ...
  15. You mean like a slightly homosexual version if Hooters?
  16. I can see a LOT of people are gonna get caught out by this in the future, more money into the coffers though I guess.
  17. Tidy workmanship there, obviously a bloke who knows how to work a lathe!
  18. Peeps. Me and one of my buds from back home have been talking about getting a bike cafe/workshop, maybe somewhere on the south coast with a marine workshop out back for winter. But anyway, apparently Loomies is shutting down in October, so I thought why not start with that? Any business partners out there fancy it?
  19. Ur, well I didn't plan that far ahead, I'm coming from newbury and picking up one of my mates en route, so 11 on Sunday?
  20. I made my own loom for the DT50, cost about £25 in materials from Conrad and a few evenings to put it all together. Otherwise breakers are the best way, be wary of buying from overseas as they are often wired differently according to local laws.
  21. Fuck it, anyone up for a Loomies breakfast next weekend?
  22. Some of the guys who used to work on bigger things (VC10, Tristan, Hercules, Tornados) used to run their cars on whatever got drained from the aircraft fuel tanks when they went in for maintenance, as soon as you take fuel out of them it goes to waste because it has to be considered contaminated. Only problem is, it's slightly thinner than diesel (basically it's kerosene) but some people were either running half and half with pump diesel or filling their tanks with aircraft fuel and mixing in a couple of litres of engine oil!
