  1. Dont introduce such notions, i have an overactive imagination.... Mmmmm...
  2. When i bought the DT back when i was 16 one of my other mates had a bright orange ped, it was a brand-new chinese brand which had an alarm, remote start and all manner of things, we decided to have a race (on 50ccs on a national limit road over 1 mile... not exactly much of a race) and the 'piece-o-crap' DT50 pissed all over it, i even managed to turn around and passed him going the other way whilst flipping the bird, within a couple of days the remote stopped working, and within a week the piston had shattered. will stick to my vintage jap stuff ta
  3. Well maybe one day it will be your turn to point and take the piss when one of us buys a money pit, just a shame i got rid of my Jawa, that thing was forever messing about... its definately worth doing the smaller stuff yourself, things like changing wheel bearings, you could probably buy a pair for under a tenner, removal is rarely more than finding a long drift (i used a 1/2" bar of steel i found kicking around in the workshop) and punching them out from the back with a hammer, maybe warming them with a blowtorch if they put up a fight, after that you can progress to doing larger jobs
  4. they tend to hold their value a bit better than the 'normal' paint jobs, and they just look badass, its the first bike ive ridden since i sold my XJ600 about a year ago so my chicken strips are pretty big right now :/
  5. Fireblade kicks ass! :D

  6. haha, is that an offer? if you can catch me you can have me the fireblade passed its MOT, only troubles i have is when i parked it in the multi storey it had a tendancy to set off the various car alarms as i went past, also it's f*cking quick!, i met up with one of my buddies on his SV650 and whilst on the A4 i overtook him because he was riding so slow, only then i looked down and realised i was doing license-loosing speed :S. other than that the only killer is the fuel price, i went out for 50 miles of twisty b-roads and town riding and next thing i know its 2 and a half gallons of super unleaded gone . im going to be a skint foamy soon...
  7. hour and half until our slot at the MOT centre, the bikes are in the trailer and ready to get moving, if all goes well im going to go on an adventure, maybe south wales, or bournemouth, not too sure, may just terrorise the locals of the 'shire for today
  8. erm, well... that's mine, i bought it when i was with the (now ex) missus foamy because there's f*ck all to grab onto on the blade otherwise, she was a lovely girl bless her, she just went a bit nutty one day and fucked me off, so that was the end of that, then i discovered its easy to move the bike using the grab rail, so i kept it
  9. Well peeps, ive decided to get the blade back on the road, Insured for £270 this morning, MOT is tomorrow, if it passes im riding it straight to the post office and taxing it The old man even decided to drag his out and get it MOTd at the same time Just a shame about the shite weather
  10. oh shush, i greet everyone as a friend until they piss me off, then im an asshole
  11. hey, my last missus before the one with blue hair was a redhead, she was a cracking shag but a shame her family were nutters, hence she is the ex...
  12. will do bud but i probably wont be back at benson until the end of the week, try looking at some examples on ebay, im sure that the wipers go through the small black fusebox behind the carb elbow as mine used to have a habit of blowing them

  22. Hi cupcake, i use vistaprint for most of the yamahaclub merchandise, im pretty sure Sachas shirt was a basic t-shirt but as seen in her pic it seems to accomodate her features well, From looking at VistaPrint, it seems the only printable womens t-shirts they have are signiature soft ones (some brand name, idk) which start at £14 a pop, if you want XXL (and im not saying you do, i mean IF) its another £1, front and back printing is then £5 on top of that, so all in all £20 for a ladies shirt, as opposed to the basic mens t-shirts which start at about £5 each before printing. If you would like a definate price send me a pm with your requirements (shirt type, size, colour, what printing you want and where) and i can send you a preview and quote
  23. Well peeps, i was hoping that it would be warm and sunny today... but no, its snowing outside... but i decided to venture out to the shed and work on my donkey, the last piece of my jigsaw has arrived (the rear light and number plate holder) and although i have a 2 complete sets of black plastic mudguards i really want some blue ones so that it is as close as possible to my original donkey. also waiting on some plastic sheathing to finish off my wiring loom and a new set of piston rings, but after that it should be all ready for dis-assembly, sandblasting and repainting back to its former glory so what have you all been doing on this fine summers day?...
  24. Yeah, it happened a few times on the DT and a few times on the XJ, was even worse on my DT50 as you couldnt actually pull away at any great speed anyway, i used to have to waddle forward like a penguin whilst letting the clutch out to get through the gate at RAF Halton the hill was so steep, the guards used to laugh a lot
  25. i have a couple of RAC 12v impact wrenchs, cost £5 each from a boot sale, trouble is the cables tend to break at the end where it comes out of the gun so had to pop them back in , runs from a cigarette lighter or pair of crocodile clips on a battery
