  1. Surely you had some summer fun sacha? maybe you went to the beach?... did a bay-watch slow motion run...
  2. Im designing my own t-shirt with the YOC address and emblem (trademark issues maybe? will ask alex), the SERV address and logos e.t.c
  3. Failing the costume idea, i could push one of my DT50s the whole way i suppose?
  4. Well basically it was after i met the lovely ex-missus foamy, she was very much into rebellious music, unnatural hair colours and body piercings, a very 'unconventional' person, but thats what i loved about her, i then discovered a liking for alternative love-making methods and experimentation, the dripping of hot candle wax and the teasing of tight-fitting clothing being at the top of the list, we had an amazing amount of fun and the relationship was never boring then i mentioned that i was going to afghan for a few months and she fell apart, couldnt cope with me being "away for so long in a warzone", said she couldnt cope if anything happened to me, i mean come on im a f*cking chopper tech, not a front-line taliban fighter! then that was it, as soon as she had appeared into my life she was gone, this was early december and i was almost constantly emotional and pissed until i deployed at the end of january, fucking miss you Rachel :/
  5. Facebook page created RUN FOAMY, RUN!
  6. What sort of costume? Im partial to wearing tight-fitting leather and latex, usually with chains and stuff aswell, but thats another story From the stuff i have right now i can put together cotumes for Captain jack sparrow, Harry potter, a Zombie, smegol (from lord of the rings) and a postman
  7. May be better if you post an intro thread, just so we can get to know you and your bike e.t.c. Also im assuming you are referring to the CDI ('black box') ignition?, if so then i think they came in much later, around '87ish. i have 2 1983 DTs and a 1982 and they are all on points, if your bike truly is pre-81 then it wont be a DT50MX as they did not start production until 1981
  8. start with the easy stuff, is the throttle cable moving like it should and is the slide moving freely in the carb?
  9. i probably could have broken it for parts and got my money back, but it was quite enjoyable getting it all scrubbed up and looking good, hopefully if it sells i can get my money back for it and maybe a little more to go towards my next project, MOT in a couple of weeks
  10. How the feck is that simpler?! I dont understand
  11. Racked up 500 miles on the 'blade by the time i got back to base, really need to get a cushion or something because i could hardly sit down afterwards
  12. Give me a break, i was born in '92 im a child of the metric system
  13. 10 bob a mile?! , blimey jimmy, you realise a half marathon is about 13 miles?... so thats £130? Tommy the e-cigs are great bits of kit i probably wouldnt have quit without them, i paid about £25 for a starter kit from totally-wicked.co.uk and then bought some larger refillable 'tanks' and thats all ive needed it, i charge it up when im asleep and it lasts up until about 6pm if im using it regular, but lately ive not been using it so much. only thing is, if you want to smoke an e-cig in the RAF... you have to go outside to the smoking area and sit with all the dirty stinking tabbers... so despite the RAF being so keep on being 'Fit for purpose, fit for Ops' they are discouraging the use of e-cigs... i just claim ignorance and try to keep it low-key
  14. 6km in 36 minutes, then some interval training, and a cool down. need to get some new shoes though, the ones i use atm (military issue hitec silver shadows) have given me some pretty shit blistering on my feet :/
  15. Training starts today Have contacted a couple of charities to see if they would let me run on their behalf, stay tuned for info, will get a webpage up and running when i know more
  16. Well peeps, its an extra-long weekend, what did you do with your time off? I went on a rideout with one of my old school mates, went from Newbury to Bournemouth (via loomies cafe for breakfast, where i spotted some gorgeous RDs, soooo shiny!) Then in bournemouth i won a furby at the arcade. Then we rode on to swanage, where i won a space monkey at the arcade Lots and lots of bikes out and about today, did you go anywhere nice/different?
  17. erm, im not really sure this is legal bud, it is basically vandalism and if it gets taken the wrong way thats how the plod will see it, i can see why you want to do it and in your position i would probably do the same thing to keep someone from hurting themselves. Personally, i would either close the electrode on the spark plug so that it doesnt arc, earth the low tension side of the coil, remove the main fuse e.t.c, something that isnt going to cause lasting damage and more importantly if you were to deflate the tyres and he rides off without realising (does a Grouch) it could result in an accident Disclaimer: I am not condoning any of the above actions, merely saying that hypothetically speaking these are the actions i would consider
  18. Funny you should mention that, the daughter of the woman that runs the takeaway shop is bang tidy, I even learnt a bit of mandarin to help break the ice, turns out they speak Cantonese and thought I was just talking jibberish
  19. I'm ordering a Chinese right now so haven't replied earlier, 15 mile B-road blast back home on the blade Anyway, marathons, I've had a look at the dates and there's a half marathon on 19th September in Bristol, I'm aiming for that maybe then a full marathon next year
  20. It's a big undertaking, I'm more concerned about getting it all organised, starting the marathon, getting halfway and missing/shiting myself and collapsing, need to get a few longer runs in first and see how I get on, maybe start with a half marathon
  21. Well im off out on the piss in leicester tonight, lets see if i manage to buy anything else lol. i may even drag the XJ turbo out of the shed and get it going again
  22. Here it is at the moment: Long ways to get yet, will get started on it after the SR goes,
  23. Latest pics Just gotta polish that engine up now, im tempted to leave it as it is and not spray paint it as it looks pretty when its all buffed up
  24. Just as it happens, i know where theres a Yam SR125 going if your interested , i actually bought it from Nailsworth not far from Stonehouse , saves me having to ride it to squires aswell lol
