Motorcycle Courier?
as far as careers advice it has been available but ive chosen my own career path(s) my first choice would be an aviation technician (mechanical) for the RAF, ive already passed the selection test and went for my interview last tuesday, now i just need to go for a medical and a fitness test and hopefully it should all go well and i will be able to get in. alternatively, an apprenticeship at AWE, took the aptitude test today and passed so just need to book an interview i was considering being a courier for something to do on the side, i love riding motorbikes and being out and about so it seemed a logical choice.

Motorcycle Courier?
thanks for the info Amanda, wasn't something i had really considered. think maybe being an S.E.R.V would be a better idea, still can't do it on the DT though.... maybe when the Jawa is on the road

Carb rubber?
hi everyone. think ive found out why my Jawa is a bitch to start and wont run right, seems the little rubber bit that goes over the manifold end of the carb and into the reed block has perished slightly and is a bit of a loose fit, to the point where the carb can be moved/tilted/twisted by hand. but finding a replacement is proving to be a bit challenging. anyone know how i can fabricate/find a new carb rubber? (its a 28mm single carb), tried all the "Jawa specialists" but to no avail, nothing on the owners club webby either...

kids going pillion
your kids should know and understand the risks like the rest of us do, but theres no reason why it could be their last ride. im sure most of you riders are ery responsable and can deal with most situations on the road with ease, and with a passenger its all the more important to take care never bothered me when i was hanging off the back of my dads CBR900RR doing 150 down the motorway, loved it

Motorcycle Courier?
quite like the idea of riding bikes either as a "proper job" or just something to do on the side, i know there aint that much money to be made in it but id be willing to try it out failing that, anyone know any pizza places that still use mopeds to deliver?

Clothing
hi everyone. just trying to sort out my motorcycle clothing for the year. i got myself a very nice Tuzo leather jacket in the busters sale a few weeks ago. full grain leather, armour, removable liner e.t.c for £50 as it was end-of-the-line. thing is, its a bit heavy and very warm... a bit too warm and methink in summer it will be a bit too much to lug around on the DT. so i started looking at textile clothing. in probike they had some end-of-the-line stuff for £79.99 but didnt have any in the small size that i require... so ive been looking on the web and found the "Mirage" and "Airtec" jackets for a good price. http://www.motouk.net/acatalog/Textile_Jackets.html#aRAYV52 anyone ever done dealings with motouk and can comment on the quality of their jackets? so in short im looking for a good quality textile jacket in small for around £50?, but have no idea what/where to look, anyone got any reccomendations? also need a good set of leather jeans... - Steve EDIT: One more thing, it has to be blue or blue/black to match the dragons

hi everyone... are there any rules/terms a person needs to meet before they can become a motorcycle courier? (for a business or even privately) sounds like an interesting job, i would quite like to give it a go... anyone had any experiance being a courier? needs something with a bigger payload than my DT50 though... maybe a jawa with a sidecar - Steve

im sure ebay will come in handy for parts one day later on, but for now the bike is pretty much complete. if worse comes to worst i will probably find myself mix'n'matching parts off other bikes
