DT125 Intake Manifold Restrictor?
going by the diagram i would say that the cone on the end of the intake is to restrict the air flow into the engine, removing it would increase the airflow and most likely require an up-jetting to compensate and prevent the bike running lean

Rusty swingarm repair?
thanks for the reply but i think the TZR and DT125 frames (and most probably swingarms) are very different from the DT50MX one, im concentrating on repairing it to get it through its MOT (even though the MOT isnt until november)

Rusty swingarm repair?
hi everyone. took my rear wheel off last week to change the brake shoes and noticed that on my swingarm there it has rusted (almost completely through) on the upright support that connects to the monoshock, ive had a look on ebay for a replacement arm but they seem to be few and far between (not to mention expensive) so it looks like i will have to repair it as best i can. i have basic knowledge of welding, but is there any specific measures i need to take to patch up the swingarm? (seems to be thin) regards Steve

1999 DTR125 help needed
unfortunately this is something that most of the smaller bikes suffer from, including most modern mopeds. the headlight brightness will vary according to engine speed because at low revs there is less electricity being generated to power the headlight, wheras at higher RPMs there is more being generated and the headlight is lit sufficiently. on my DT50 at idle the headlight is very dim, but once im riding i dont tend to realise it

Rear spring rate on a 2001 R1
sounds like a specialist part tbh, or maybe you could try fitting the spring of similar length from a heavier race bike?

big 2 stroke oil leak HELP
did you overfill the crankcase with oil?, consult your haynes manual for the correct measurement, my manual even has a diagram and measurements for making a "dipstick" to check the oil level
