  1. Not so good on the plans, although I could have a go at drawing... But I can do ideas easy enough. Dunno what the SA laws are, but in the UK I believe bikes are limited to trailers no longer than 1m... Try putting a couple of spars on the back end of the frame, at the bottom. Then have them chamfer in behind the rear wheel, to form a point. To this point affix a universal joint, so you can turn it up down left and right (pitch and yaw), but not roll. To the back of this, add a monowheeled trailer frame. If you need further support, a pair of additional spars reaching up toward the top of the frame should do it. You should be able to lug 3-4 kegs of beer on that easy enough - You'll look awesome turning up at the next braai!! Also, run a few Googles for ideas: http://www.mono-trail.co.uk/ http://www.robertawhite.com/piggybacker.htm http://www.hondarebelforum.com/f12/towing-ball-9976.html http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128943 http://www.customcruiserchrome.com/hitches

    X-Factor

Apparently many of the 'good' performers are already known and it is 'suggested' to them that they might like to audition when there's a new season. I think the most telling scene was where Louie Walsh was about to vote someone to stay, then some techie in headphones runs up to whisper in his ear... and then suddenly he boots them out like they were the worst thing ever. Clearly just producers stirring shit up and fixing the whole thing. Beyond that, it's always so blatant that Cowell has pre-booked/pre-paid for the winner to come out with a Christmas Number One - Not to release a Christmas single, but to actually come out with a single that WILL be Number One. I can tell all this just from listening to the people in the office!!
  3. Yay, Cornwall is great for biking! If I'd known you were headed down that way, I'd have recommended the campsite at Colliford Lake - Biker friendly and excellent facilities! Interestingly, I also slipped over in Cornish mud, just as you did. Must be something in the soil!
  4. The 1TX is an FJ1200. The 3CV is an FJ1200. The FJ1100 is neither. Exactly which are you trying to fit where... and why?
  5. Liara??!! Blue Love is so dull and whiny.... Jack and/or Miranda, any time!! I'd have preferred to get a threesome going with my FemShep as well, but they just didn't offer me that option
  6. Mine were OEM... and I didn't have Internets back in them days!! +1 for Wemoto!!
  7. Not sure what 125 ones cost, but my 650 ones were about £85 for an OEM set. We have a motorcycle parts shop here in Reading that got some direct from Yamaha.

    DATATAG???

You actually found the ID Chip Thingy??!! You sure? The ID Chip Thingy is about the size of a grain of rice... It comes with a mini-syringe applicator and they usually inject it into the seat. Plod is supposd to have access to scanners that you just wave around the bike to find it's been stolen and to check the reg/frame/engine nos, etc (although I'm told most of them end up in a cupboard somewhere). So yeah, unless the chip is teeny-tiny, it'll likely be summat else... maybe something interesting? It's also not the microdot, which is about as big as this full-stop ---> .

    DATATAG???

Yep, tracking module. In this case, designed so YOU and the cops can find your bike in the event of theft. Look at the wing mirrors, see if there's a number etched into them. Look also around the bike for a small 1" x 1.5" dark, holographic sticker that says DATATAG in it. If your bike has either of these, then the parts will be marked so they can't be sold on. Certain key components will have microdot identifiers on and there will be at least one very small ID chip hidden on it somewhere. Basically, it's all anti-theft stuff that the previous owner has had added. Give DATATAG a ring and see about getting the details transferred over to you. Also mention it to your insurance, as it might even bring your premium down a touch!
  10. d) The Ultimate Editions with all the DLC included, also for a fiver!! Then again, I have a Steam account and have picked up a fair few of the latest Triple-A titles for under £7. Heck, I picked up Skyrim for £3!! Lemme know what you think of ME3, as I'm a big fan of that myself. Played through a few times with different characters and options. Also, make sure you get the Citadel DLC for it - Fantastic fun!!
  11. I hear Southern Spain is pretty this time of year... !!
  12. Single the sound out and listen closely. Does it change in pitch as you accelerate at all? If it sounds a bit like a spaceship, then that is normal. Most V-twin engines do that. Couple of threads that may be of use:
  13. 3rd person is optional and will not make for good combat flight, as you won't be able to see the HUD. You can switch between the two, 3rd being most useful for when you're walking around on planets. But it *is* a space-sim and there *will* be cockpits. I have the Hangar Module already and have explored my ships thoroughly. Dogfighting module is coming out just after Christmas!
  14. Been searching, but not found any official recalls from Yamaha yet... could be worth dropping them a line?
  15. Nope, but have fitted a Rider V2 to an XVS650... The included mounting kit from Ram Mount did not fit. I had to order a slightly different one. Mount it so you can see the screen without having to move your head at all, if possible. It will take a little getting used to, so when the voice in your head says to take the exit and you're banked over on a roundabout, you can flick your eyes down to the screen and make sure your view matches the map. Generally you shouldn't need to take your eyes off the road, but it can occasionally help to look as well.
  16. Things rings a bell..... I think there was a thread about this once before. I'm thinking that they used the same cover for the 250 or 400cc Draggie, but the slight differences meant that this hole was bolted on one of the others.
  17. Forgot to mention, I also have a 'waist-pack' (kinda like a bum bag, but with pockets and pouches all the way around) from Hein Gericke. That has a map pocket, MP3 player pouch, tool roll and a bunch of other bike-specific gubbins. Designed for one-piece wearers who can't get more than a £2 coin into their pockets, I think... I think the big draw to these sorts of things is that leathers and half of textiles are rarely waterproof, or even resistant, whereas these pouches are.
  18. Could have been a couple of things... Either way, I reckon you were definitely in 1st gear, given the amount of torque that ripped through the bike. If it is the bike cutting out, check all the basics, like your clutch adjustment. Then go back to the dealer with it and make use of that warranty. Some dealers are nice about these things, but they're still dealers and you're still a female, so don't take any of their shit. If you need a decent independant mechanic, I'm sure we can find you a decent local-ish one. Or it could have been your clutch control. Occasionally you'll find you let the clutch out a mite too early, the biek half-stalls, but then your throttle roll-on kicks in and it blazes away effectively being the same as dumping it with high revs. I actually did something similar this very morning - Basically revved up, but not high enough (quite bike surrounded by loud vehicles at the lights and couldn't fully hear the engine) so when I let the clutch out it started to stall. I was quick enough and yanked the clutch in, so it didn't completely stall and as the revs rose, I was able to let it back out and get moving properly. Just one of those things. You'll get used to finding the right revs and balancing it with the clutch just with more riding. Incidentally, I'm on an unfamiliar hire bike But hey, you're unhurt and ready to jump back on, so this is a good sign!
  19. Got two or three of them, too!! I like the old patrol pack that you can zip the rocket packs onto as well - MOAR CARRYING OF STUFFS!!
  20. I have seven on the Frank Thomas jacket (3 out, 4 in) and five on the Halvarssons trousers (2 hip, 2 rear, 1 thigh). I always loved my webbing but of course it's awkward to manage full CEFO on and off the bike, so among my gear I have a Maxpedition Thermite Versipack: http://www.ee33.co.uk/product.asp?strParents=0&CAT_ID=0&P_ID=487&strPageHistory=search&numSearchStartRecord=1 That shop does some nice kit overall.
  21. So you're telling us, in a cunningly disguised roundabout way, that you're all.... benders....?
  22. This is the YAMAHA OWNERS CLUB... our Mods do NOT fuck up... They may be just plain *wrong* at times and in all senses of that word, but they never, ever fuck up!!
  23. Bike looks stunning, chap!! Might wanna black out your reg plate, though, just in case Open the photo in Paint, scribble black all over it and then save the file. Easy as.
  24. Blah blah blah Football blah blah.... I only know where Reading football ground is because we have to avoid the area on match day!!
