  1. Just checked again to make sure & they don't list the XS500C, but they do list the XT500 1976 & it has the same part # 371-13440-90-00, but when you check the Yam' parts diagram, it shows a cartridge filter for that model, the XS has a spin on. Now I am confused. Wiz........
  2. I tried them a few days ago & they don't list one. Wiz.
  3. Where did you find a new oil filter? Wiz.
  4. You can test the igniter. Pull the plugs & ground them on the head, pull the igniter connector, identify both pairs of wires & flash 12v to one pair, the plugs will spark. You might have to reverse + & -.
  5. Although the spark is shared, there can still be a breakdown of HT lead, cap or plug. If the YICS ports are blocked, & they are small on the 650s, you might as well sync' without the tool, is all I am saying. The fuel rail is fed between 1 & 2 so would exaserbate any potential problem with float# 1.
  6. A good fix for a pulled thread is to cut a piece of cable tie & drop it into the threaded hole before replacing the bolt.
  7. I would look at float valve not shutting off on #1, also possible petcock malfunction. When using the YICS tool to sync' the carbs, make sure the YICS ports are clear, otherwise there is no point in using the tool. I take it you have a strong spark on #1.
  8. Hi, have you looked at xjbikes.com? BigFitz there is red hot on the 550s. Wiz
