Like clarkegray said....follow that procedure & it,ll do the trick everytime. We get a hell of a lot of rain here in Ireland & believe me it works!

Lovely restoration job there, looks gorgeous, well done.
  3. Congratulations on passing the 100,000 mile mark! Great to see a bike being used to the full. Those XJRs are pretty much bulletproof!
  4. Try Skidmarx, got a clear screen for my YZF off ,em, think it,s a few quid extra for a coloured one.
  5. Neat bike, Glenn you da man!

I,ve put a Scorpion can on the FZR & I,m well happy with it. Good fit, good finish, sounds good too! (removable baffle). Popular choice with a lot of people on the Thundercat owners forum!
  7. I,m presuming you haven,t got a leak anywhere? Is the master cylinder OK? Just overhauled the brakes on my FZR recently (new discs, pads, hoses). Took ages to build up pressure. Kept pumping (plenty of air bubbles came up through the reservoir), eventually built up enough pressure to bleed the remainder of the air through the nipples. Patience is the key!..... Hope this helps.
  8. Yep, airbox drain hose.
  9. I,m not sure but the Thundercat uses a TPS set up for the carbs so I,d imagine you,ll need the Cat loom.
  10. How,s it goin? The Thundercat engine should fit your 600r. You,ll need the CDI, loom, etc. from a Cat also.
  11. Apparently the show bike got a very favourable response, here,s hoping it goes into production.
  12. Jeez, that,s a sweet FZR, best of luck with it.
  13. Possibly wheel bearing/bearings ? causing the pads to rattle against the discs when wheel wobbles?
  14. You could try EBC HH pads. I used them on a grey import TRX and found them to be a big improvement on the OE (brembo) pads.
  15. 1 Mint unused OW01. 2 OVER racing kitted TRX850. 3 RD0350LC (4LO). XT 500 (G model). 5 1969 XS1 650 & no fucking cars!
  16. Brembo gold series calipers (as fitted to Jap import Yams e.g. TRX850, XJR1200, etc.) may also fit. Not too sure about this. Obviously depends on disc size, caliper bolt spacing, etc. but I think they,re pretty similar. One advantage of going this route is that they,re more corrosion resistant than the O.E. calipers or blue spots.
  17. Personally speaking I wouldn,t bother, it,s like the motorcyling version of furry dice! But then, each to his own, I supose.
  18. Hi, just to update, I stripped, cleaned & lubed the EXUP valve. (It was squeaking when I turned it by hand.) Reassembled everything, adjusted the cables, took the bike outside & fired it up. I let it warm up, revved it a few times & the valve is working fine. Thanks again for advise!
  19. Thanks for advice! I,ve disconnected cables and the valve turns quite freely. Will try starting and warming bike tomorrow to see if servo works. Unfortunately, bike is indoors at the moment, don,t think neighbours would appreciate the sound of Micron race pipe reverberating through the walls! Anyway, cheers for help!
  20. I,ve got a problem ! Power delivery on my YZF750 seems very "flat". When I turn on the ignition, Idon,t hear theservo motor working. I,ve removed the EXUP valve cover and when I turn the pulley clockwise, then turn on the ignition, the servo closes the pulley. Am I right in assuming the cables just need adjusting/lubricating ? When I turn on the ignition, should the valve open & close? Any help appreciated!
