Dia duit ar maidin - Wie Geht es Dir Heute
No bother Karen, I was only joking! Actually, very few people in Ireland speak Gaelic anyway, it,s mostly confined to Gaeltachts (dedicated Irish speaking areas).

looking at a 1985 fz750
35000 miles isn,t particularly high mileage for an FZ, they,re a very durable motor(if cared for!). Look for usual wear & tear/ corrosion (tired suspension/seized calipers, etc.)

thundercat
Replace casing, remove the rubber bung on the outside. You,ll see a screw & locknut. Slacken the locknut. Turn the screw clockwise until it seats lightly. Unscrew it a quarter turn & tighten locknut. If this doesn,t sort it you,ll need to take a look at the clutch itself. (BTW are you sure the cable is ok?). Hope this helps.

Which are the best Front Brake Pads?
I,d recommend EBC HH pads (for the front brakes anyway). Much better "feel" than OE pads.

Debate
Jarno Saarinen is my personal favourite, amazing rider. So sad that he was killed in his prime. Check out "Against the odds" video/DVD to see him in his heyday.

RIP Malcolm Maclaren
McLaren was a very important figure in the mid seventies. Even the ex members of the Pistols paid tribute to him, despite the years of recrimination. "BE REASONABLE, DEMAND THE IMPOSSIBLE".....R.I.P. Malcolm.

1993 YZF750
As with any similarly equipped Yamaha, check the EXUP valve.

TRX identification
That,s a Japanese import. As well as different colours & Brembo calipers, Jap spec TRXs also had white rev counter faces, 180 kmh speedos, shorter rear indicator stems, accelerator pump, different silencers & were slightly lower geared. (BTW derestricion is acheived via the speedo. Check TRX owners forum).

Fuel Light Foxeye
Sounds like a wiring mix up alright. Try taking off the L/H fairing panel & checking the wires from the switch.

1995 Yamaha FZR600R
Thundercat motor (which is basically a tweaked FZR unit) has camshafts marked "I" for inlet & "E" for exhaust.

Need Advice as soon as.....regarding chain
Get a DID x-ring c&s kit & you,re sorted! BTW, did you get that EXUP valve bush?

YZF1000 cylinders on YZFbottom end
YZF1000 engine has a longer stroke, dunno about fitting a 1000 top end to a 750 motor. Might be better to fit a complete 1000 engine. If you choose to do this you,ll need to cut 10mm. from the top engine mounts & re-weld them.

Back to the Yammys!
Nice clean Cat, best of luck with it!

Part required for YZF750R
Would it be possible to get an engineering shop to make something to suit? I,d still reckon s/h downpipes would be your best bet as the manifold would have that bush in situ,as it were.
-
Part required for YZF750R
Is the valve assy. loose/rattling? Is the bush worn or missing? I presume it,s the bush in the manifold itself (i.e. on the right hand side).
-
Part required for YZF750R
Do you mean the bush that the valve rotates in? Dunno if it,s available as an OEM part on its own. Used downpipes from a breakers, perhaps?

FZR600R 4JH
Try backing off the preload on the forks( a previous owner may have tinkered with the preload adjustment). As regards the leak, is the fork tube scored/pitted? Was the seal correctly fitted? When was the fork oil last changed? You may need to do a fork strip/rebuild with fresh oil/ seals, etc.
