I built one as well, used ATF fluid (which btw won't do nothing to your engine if it gets sucked in there).

Cool. What's that on the arm? Sanskit, malayasian, or something?

You've got the standard 7/8" bars....can find them anywhere on the web. Ebay is a good source. Do you have a service manual for your bike? Pick one up if you don't. These types of scoots are really easy to work on, even for the layperson. Go here for NOS parts if you can't locate used stuff on ebay (including those handlebars).

Yeh, me likie! Sport bikes used to look so much cooler when they were more square-like than they are nowadays.

Yeh, I'm quite happy, as these seem to be the last two remaining XS360 nos needles on this green earth. Price fuckin things, though...$18-something each.

Damn, you wankers leave me hangin' like that? "I get no respect." Ok then, so it turns out to have been the battery!

What's this, not one brave soul up to the challenge? I'm disappointed.

Ok then, so I solved my poor starting dilemma, and I'm back to getting her going with one swift kick in the guts. It was a simple fix, if I could call it that. Very simple. Very, very simple. Did I mention that it was simple? A true Homer Simpson DOH! moment, I'm embarrassed to say, haha. Anybody wanna take a gander at what was wrong? Here's a hint: ever-encroaching colder crappy weather means that I ride that sucker less often then, say, a few weeks ago...by coincidence about the time when I screwed around with them carbs.

Just a dab will do ya.

Ok, so if I do run the XS400 jet kit on the XS360...wait, why can't I run the XS400 kit, anyways? What would I likely have to do to make that work, ie, drop the needles, toss on pods, etc? Oldgit, I didn't email Sirius, but I did Sudco. Haven't heard from them, yet.

Well then, heard it from the horse's mouth, spoke to mikuni themselves today. These needles were made exclusively for the XS360, and are now utterly discontinued...with no cross referencing or aftermarket support that mikuni knows of. So, I'm basically SOL unless I find somebody hoarding new old stock needles. Unreal.

Hey man. Naw, my choke is an on/off lever, no half-on option. I earlier stripped the carbs and sprayed thru every hole, channel, nook and cranny, so I don't think nothing's clogged. The fuel intake in the right carb under the needle valve actually was fairly blocked by fuel tank crap before I got to it. I balanced the carbs, but no, didn't tackle the timing, yet. Hmmm, maybe it's time, huh? Oldgit, you boys drink your brewskies warm. Wot up wit dat?

Thanks for the props, boys and girls. Yes, fall, the precursor to winter...I pine for spring.

Wot's this, no spanky spank response to my wd-40 salad dressing comment? You're slippin, Oldgit.
