Thanks mate, and no I haven't tried this, guess I took the blokes word that it hadn't been registered, I'll try that tomorrow. As for good luck with the rebuild, I think I need it, didn't think it would be so hard to get parts, but I guess that's the challenge. If you have any decent pictures of a 1983 IT please let me know where I can see them, the frame and engine number start with 5Y0, which is why I think it's an '83 model. Cheers

Hello, always wanted one when I was younger, but couldn't afford one, but have finally managed to get on :-) The bike does not have a V5 but the frame and engine numbers match, is there a web site I can use to fine the exact year and model? I think it's a 1983 model. Will it be hard to get an age related plate? Does anyone know the best place to get spares and or where there are any good images, the person who had the bike before me must have been a goth nearly everything is painted black :-( Thanks in advance............
