is it me or what but you are worried about you licence arriving on time for your holiday to france! its the least of your problems you have a restricted licence 33bhp and your going to france on a bike which you have not had restricted so your insurance will be invalid and your worried about your licence?

that information was copied from the dvla site it is correct and applies to any new driver witin there first two years if you reach 6 points you will have to sit a re test theory test and all the other bits that go with it,if the offence is commited on a bike then the re test will be on a bike, but if both your car and bike test are less than two yearsold then it is up to the local traffic commisioner to decide if you have to take both,reaching six points in your first two years doesnt mean you will also get a ban but a re test is mandotory. a lot of people think if they get a ban on there bike licence ah well ! i will just have to use the car ,think again the ban is on your driving licence not the entitlement, so if you get banned from driving for six months thats it

your bike has a 15litre tank, the tank light comes on after about 82 to 90miles depending on how full you were at that point you filled up, when the light comes on the tank has about a third left so you should be ok for another 40mile.

the 3rd battalion gurkha rifles were amalgamated into the 1st battalion of gurkha rifles in1995/6 and brunie and hong kong bases were closed and they came to queen elizabeth barracks,fleet in hampshire which is there present home when they are not supporting our troops as part of 52 infantry brigade fighting in helmand province in afganistan . i had the pleasure to serve with them three times during my time in the army and have fought and protested for there pension rights for the last two years, a few months back it looked as if we had won and things would get better but the goverment have done the usual u turn on there promises,these soldiers have won the most victoria crosses and many other medals for this there adoptive country not all of them wish to remain here after they come out of the army but after risking there lives for us to be treated like this is a disgrace. we hear quite often about our own servicemen and women getting killed but there is never a mention in the press of the losses suffered by the gurkhas, it makes me ashamed to be british and after 22yrs service makes me wonder what it was all for did i waste my time fighting for a dream that does not exist freedom of speech, a home fit for heroes what a joke.

it can also be a case of oil level to high which was the case with mine when i got it it was difficult to select neutral at first i thought it just needed the clutch cable adjusted, but when i checked the oil levels it was over filled drained and got down to the correct level and gear changes and obtaining neutral was not a problem even on the coldest of days having been stood for a few days.

it is not unusual for some bikes like that to have low mileage ,a lot of folk buy bikes and hardly use them i have a 2001 dragstar and it only had 2000 miles on the clock when i bought it the previous 2 owners were both older guys who bought the bike and only used in in the good weather ! when i looked at the mots one year it had only done 46 miles since the last one, since i have had the bike i have put on 2700 miles so it now has 4700 on the clocks, as far as service history is concerned i have changed the oil twice plugs once done every thing that would be done on service but as the book is not stamped it has no real service history except its first service but as the service interval is 6000ml its not due apart from the fact they say 6000 or every 12 months so ask the guy some questions it could be a good buy at the right price and check mots.

i also went that way got there about 930am left home with an immaculate looking bike but after the rain and crap off the road it looked like i had been off road.

of course with interest ! only made my mind up late last night went on the A roads for a change sick of motorways.

i also went parked up only to find no wallet in my pocket, i had left it in my jeans when i put my leathers on so it was a bit of an anticlimax, the only good thing was i had filled up last night or i would have been stuck.
