  1. I always think that the smaller bikes are more dangerous than the bigger ones, and i suggest you look at some of the chinese 125's i think you will find they are larger and have bigger tyres and brakes and much more comforable than any jap bikes and they are much cheaper if you buy them before they catch on over here and you probably will be able to insure them for less, im on my 43rd bike now a xjr 1300 and just helped a friend get his first bike which was a honda cg125 which is very reliable and cheap but extremely boring,(not my choice) i did sit on a chinese custom thingy 125 and the difference was amazing, it felt like a 500 and was comfortable and was a 4 stroke and cheap with trick paint and loads of extras as standard, good luck, enjoy yourself.

As far as yamalube is concerned, the correct oil for your bike (r6) is yamalube 4-fs which is the top of the range and its fully synthetic, but i would make a point of checking exactly which oil they use as my xjr 1300 was just serviced and i presumed that they would use yamalube and when i spoke to the technician who performed the service he told me he used silkolene pro 4 plus fully synthetic oil as he said its better, and i agree as i can feel the difference right away. Always top up with the exact same oil, its important.

I think your problems the tyre pressures, the recommended for my xjr1300 which is 2007 model are 36 front and 36 rear, the 42 pressure you mentioned is suggested for carrying a passenger, which in my experiance would make it bounce around a bit too much, but take the leaning over cornering real easy in the wet conditions as the rain makes me very nervous and in the wet i take the corners very wide and if thats not it have you tried turning your shocks down to a softer setting.
