Hi All, New to biking after waiting twenty years to take the plunge ;-) I have bought a thundercat which i have been riding now for two months and absolutely Bl00dy love it. had it upto 150mph on a private stretch of M-way somewhere in Europe ;-) I have noticed that the gearbox sounds very whiny almost like a straight cut rally gearbox !! It seems to be worse when i am plodding along at low revs. But last night i did my first long trip of just over 300 miles, first problem was on the M-way, I tapped the gearlever down to what should have been 5th and then throttled back, but it was if i had put the bike in neutral, i had to have two attempts before it went into gear. Then several times whilst pulling up to junctions, i was going down through the gears and when i went to go into first, it would not go, It seemed to be stuck in neutral and i had to really hit the gearlever to get it to drop into first. Is this common on these bikes.... I don't seem to have the 2nd gear problem which i have read a lot about. Bugger just noticed i typed thindercat instead of thundercat in the title and can't change it ;-(
