  1. I hav an FZR1000 that just about hits red on the guage B4 the fan kicks in, the bloke at the local dealer rekons this is normal for Yamaha
  2. Phil, Sounds like the problem ive been having with my 87' FRZ 1000, during a recent top end rebuild the carbs were turned upside down, A comprehansive clen of the float chamber and jets will do wonders, also replace the fule filter and flush the fuel tank. I found also clening the fuel rail was a big help Good Luck Alex.
  3. Yeah dude ive been running around at 140+ ( plod wont be happy, but then again who give a rats ! )
  4. After taking a 10 year break from riding bikes ( got married, not allowed toys ) whilst shopping for a cheap used bike i took a GSX750f for a test ride, all went well till i got back to the blokes house, forgot to put my feet down and fell flat on my arse. needless to say i no longer wanted that bike cos it now had several new dents and scratches.
  5. My 87' FZR1000 has a strong vibration at 4500rpm in all gears and neutral, it passes as soon as i pass this rev range. I suspect the problem is not gearbox related, any pointers ??
