Hi all,
my '96 TCat that i've had for about a month is refusing to start, it was playing up toward the end of a ride the other week (cutting out at low revs, had to be bump started) and was found to have a duff battery.
New battery in, still won't fire, i've checked spark plugs 1 and 4 and don't seem to be getting a spark, got some on order just for the hell of it, but what else could it be? all the fuses are good.
I removed a datatool S3 alarm during my problem hunting (did nothing but piss me off) and am pretty sure i did it right, cut the wires to positive, negative and ground, then cut and reconnected the red/white and blue/white wires and removed a badly soldered in resistor from a brown/white wire (checked the wiring diagram in the haynes manual first to make sure it wasn't meant to be there). nothing i've left in is there?
