  1. Have a look at the new cbf 125 cheap as chips better than the cg 125 i had 3 off them , but any 2 stroke 125 will leave this in a cloud off smoke before you get in 2nd gear, but if you want a bike that is easy to ride nice looking cheap to service and run ,2years waranty free break down cover for a year, paid £1750 for mine.

[ Hi ,brandon the fz 600 was my first bike after passing my test many years age i can understand how excited you are to be riding a big bike, after 6months of riding the bike things whent bang in a big way the timing chain snapped a nearly had me off the bike stayed in the garage the the next 7 years then decided to do some thing about it, engine had to be replaced £150 the bike refused to start and no spark at the plugs , replaced coils, ht leads, spark plugs , genarator, regulator, ignition switch, starter switch, digital box checked all the connectors on loom and cleaned up, checked resistence with good digital oms meters, new battery, cleaned up the carbs , and buy your self a good manual as they have most of the testing data you will need, the bike does run now but not as i would like it carb balance next i think, if you are going to restore this bike i can tell you its not cheap i could of had a good second hand fz for what i have spent on this bike but thats not what i wanted, if you go to the search bar a put fz600 in it will show you all the old posts on this model , ileft one some time ago with the resistance data for testing the electrical parts , and there are some with the same problem with no spark at the plugs took me 2 weeks to get a weak spark there other items you can check on old post like side stand switch, engine cut out swith etc etc. hope this helps hobbo

hi i have a fz 600 the same sort of engine some small differences, i to have add 12v power pack to get the bike running i have replaced the coils plugs leads and plugs new battery checked the charge from the generator cleaned cabs checked resistence of coils etc, i have used easy start this does help but not ideal, does the battery show any input when running as mine goes flat from a full charge i think i have tracked it down to the rectifier regulator being at fault , and use digital oms tester . hope this helps dave

replaced my fz600 fork seals and used a piece of accetate to to slip new seals down fork leg and used a piece of plastic pipe to tap new seal in, or slide the old seal ontop of the new seal and tap in, i think a socket is to hard to tap them in and i think you may of used to much force, hope this helps

When i was looking for some fairing parts found a guy on ebay who could supply, nose cone £45.00, pair lowerside panels£90.00, upperside panels £40.00 total £195.0 £15.0 P/P. I think they are fiberglass do not know what the quality is like said he would need 2 weeks to make and supply said he had mouldes for most bikes ,most of the old plastic on ebay will be naff and will need a lot of work plastic welding which does not com cheap can dig out info and contacts if you want, just received full set of decals for£65.00 look good quality to me, ps all fixings will have to be drilled on the farings as they dont come pre drilled. hope this helps.
