Hi Franklyn,I'm a new member with a "tech query". I recently bought a set of Highway Hawk rear footboards from a private dealer on Ebay.The mounts fit on the bike (XVS 1100 Dragstar) no problem,however the right hand board will not clear the heatshield on the exhaust.It's as though the mount is too low.Any ideas,have you got any pictures of the boards you had on your bike?The pipes are stock pipes as the bike had only done 250 miles when I got it.Thanks for any advice you may have.Kev.
