2006 R6 43000miles. How much is it worth?
Hi Guys, just after a bit of advice really. I've got an 06 r6 with 43000 miles on the clock and I was looking at selling up for a R1. However, I was offered £1000 in p/x! It has more money than that on in accessories! Can any one confirm that is about right? Am i kidding myself that its worth more? The bike is in excellent condition with Gilles stuff all over it, carbon everything, Akra exhaust with de-cated stainless headers, braided hoses, Galfer discs all round and power commander. Thanks for your input Jim

Filler cap lock very stiff and sticky?
I think you will find graphite grease will trap far more dirt! The idea of WD40 is to remove the dirt from the lock not lube it. Most of the dirt will be engrained in so a blast of air I doubt will be suffient. Maybe both together but for this defo remove cap because crap will be flying everywhere. I would advise a drop of engine oil, again as not to trap to much crap, as a lube for the lock. But hey everyone does things differently. Good luck Jim

Filler cap lock very stiff and sticky?
Hi Cameron, Get some WD40 and give it a good blast in the lock. Put key in and work the lock until it frees up. Now open the filler and angle so that the WD40 can drain out with any crud it's removed. Repeat again and then finish of by putting a drop of oil down the barrel to lube it working it in the mechanisim with the key. Hey presto it should be fine Jim

R6R PCIII Maps
Hi all, I don't suppose anyone has a map for the following setup I could use until I can get mine booked in for a custom one. I have a K&N air filter, headers of a 05 model (no cat) and Akra can. I'm currently running a map from the disc that came with the PCIII but wondered if anyone had a better one. Cheers in advance Jim

wot a nob
Thats cracking! I like the sound his head makes as it hits the floor, it's like it's hollow! This would explain a few things. The nervous smile when he takes his lid off aswell, lol Only one word can describe this fellow, and it starts with a capital C. Thats right clumsey Ha ha

Motorcycle Courier?
No problem. I'm a recruiter at London AFCO now so if you have any questions, give me a shout and I'll try to help you out. All the best with it and let me know how you get on. Jim

Motorcycle Courier?
You'll need to know all that for your interview. Your training at Halton is what is known as basic training, i.e marching, service knowledge, lots of physical activities and ground defence (Rifle training, etc). Your trade training as a Heavy tech (same as Mechanical engineer) will be at RAF Cosford near Telford. Enjoy!

My R6
Hi there, here's a few pics of my R6. When I bought this the previous owner had toured Europe on it! It's now got 39000 miles on the clock. I have however had the shims out which were miles out. So for those that say shims never need doing, think again. Cheers Jim
