Has the xt engine doesnt it? so it would be reliable. I really like it would get one if i didnt have my eye on a supermoto. Cool looks aswell stands out in the crowd, go for it

I think i might take note from some of that, Wind is always the worst as its really unpredictable just slow down cause anything could be in the road say a tree .... it can really hurt (past experience). Could always do what i did take your test in december time that way you know you've experinced the worst and been approved by an instructor

Does any one know if the DT X wheels will fit a DT RE? I know the front forks are different but would the spindle be the same?? I know the back one should fit cos its the same swing arm. TIA.

Yeah i chased it up they said we will call you back in 5mins 2 hours later no call kept pestering them 4 about 2 weeks every day and nothing they just didnt wana know.

lol other wise if you come off laning it would be first thing to go. looks allful and the stock exhaust is heavily restricted. America have had them a while now they love them on thumpertalk have a look to get some ideas about them. www.thumpertalk.com

you are right it is pretty much the same engine except the compression ratio is different so basically its a de-tuned version if you like but more reliable. if you think about it the f version on the road would be nasty a little snappy and would feel like you would have to race it every where because thats all it would want to do. the r version i think has more torque aswell so its basically a reliable more road user friendly bike. All the reviews iv read have been good and its a dead good looking bike dont you think?

Get a supermoto you wont look back very forgiving and fast enough and extremly good handling, A drz 400 is a good starter bike (i no suzuki ....) OR an xt 660 looks nice aswell and comfy

i love it personally but for me its way to pricey. Has a lot of technology on it, fuel injected aswell, quite heavy but is a traily so youd expect it i guess. overall it looks good (was in TBM recently) the x version looks very nice aswell (what id personally get dont get on the lanes much at the mo) Iv considered it for sure but would what a while cos of price. O and the valves dont need adjusting till 30.000 miles!! its ment to be very very reliable aswell

How about earth the cable behind the speedo?? makes so much of a diference In the connector block behind the speedo is a cable black with green stripe? cant remember at the mo but its the only one with out another cable coming out the other side of the connector block all you do is jus cut that then earth it cleanly somewhere on the frame or yokes. just crimp it or wrap it around a bolt and do it up tight, makes a huge diference best mod i made on mine.

Well before the dep pipe i got about 80mph now with it absolute pinned about 85mph (nearly maxing the speedo) but better aceleration. I only found this by racing an rx125 and dare held it there 4 longer than 2seconds lol so i rarely go over 75mph to be honest. you?

Oright yeah i see what you mean cause it doesnt seem to fit perfectly flush does it, It came with washers or the flange but when you put them on they get caught on the exhaust itself so dont actually fit so i used them as washers else where lol But yeah it does seem to be missing a flange.

Just a thought, i might try a bit of instant gasket and see how that goes 1st

its a bit bad how that looks like a common problem, i thought maybe gasket needed renewing but doesnt seem to be anything wrong with it, Might try what your doing with the copper washe cause the oil looks a mess defs isnt right.

Whilst cleaning the bike over the weekend i noticed that there has been an oil leak around the header pipe throughing oil over my engine casing. Has anyone had this before and how could i solve this? TIA
