  1. But theres no need to make it more of a job than it is, i found it alot easier and tidier to just earth the black/green cable to the bottom yolk but thats just me ...
  2. You didnt need to cut the black one! Only the black with green stripe cable is required for earthing the cdi. All i did was add a piece of cable to the other side of the original connector block by crimping a bullet head crimp on so i could remove if i wanted and earthed it to the top yoke. Im not sure why you have cut the black one aswell as its totally irrelevant
  3. So are we saying that if you earth the wire behind the speedo it makes the pv react and work differently? Interesting The way i saw it was it worked so im leaving it lol Was more than quick enough for a little 125 2stroke thats for sure. Managed to max the speedo once or twice too whilst waiting for a BANG!.... this did eventually happen aswell
  4. Im pretty sure the wr450 is the modern version enduro bike and the 400, 436 were made more as trail bikes. Basically depends if you want full on race power delivery or easier to live with and reliability of a trail bike but the 436 and 400 seem hard to get hold of now i really want a wr before i got my CCM but couldnt find one for a good price. If you want a good 400 supermoto id say go for a CCM 404
  5. Nice bike, you'll love it. You already have the yamaha rack on the back which i s worth keeping but maybe not the top box. Good bikes, look after it as they are hard to get in that condition now. Enjoy
  6. Hi, Have you entered a HnH before? If not do what you can afford to the bike first before splashing loads of money and you may find it okay as is. I'd personally sort out the suspension first as I found it really soft and not very responsive for fast pace. If you like it then maybe up grade to a ktm 125exc or if you have a full liscense a wr or larger exc? Hope it all goes well and enjoy it, that's the main thing!

First of all any chain with the right pitch and length (ofc) will fit the DT there are quite a few places that sell different coloured sprockets and chains but iirc the coloured sprockets tended to be a softer metal than standard so wore out quicker. Id leave the sprockets if its for the road tbh but the chain depends on how much your willing to spend, id personally go for a good o-ring one, i wouldnt touch mx ones with out any seals (just me) x-ring chains are also good and hold more lube? Been a while since i read up on them but thats roughly right. Are you painting the tank?
  8. Id personally put a larger back sprocket and smaller front on, full dep exhaust system and make sure your power valve isnt jammed open as this would make it a night mare on HnH's. I wouldnt bother on having anything skimmed, if you really wanted to maybe bore it out? Again not a lot of point though considering the price. Depending on which sprockets you choose i recon you will still hit 55mph easily and it would get there pretty swiftly but remember you dont want too much power as it could become a bit of a handful in really tight parts of the course so youll need to find what your happy with. Good luck with the racing
  9. sod that, id get a full dep system for that price....
  10. At present: and my old steed
  11. Glad your okay, doesnt help roads arnt laid properly anymore. They just cover it in that gravel stuff and let the vehiccles flatten it. Thing i hate the most is when it flicks up at you and the fact cars drive on the same spots pushing excess to the parts us bikers would ride on i.e the middle of the road!

I guess a good moto x / trials rider would have better bike control and find tarmac simple compared to off road? Iv seen some videos of Hayden on a crf supermoto, jesus he is quick!
  13. hmmm a street triple

Same as F1 i guess, they start on mini motos at a young age like F1 drivers start out on go karts then just work their way up and hopefully get spotted unless your Nicky Hayden who started out doing moto x

Heated Grips work great WITH hand guards. Id recomend them, at least you have more feel for the controls.

... If i wanted to wheelie i wouldnt buy a vmax.
  17. Did you put a new gasket in with the header? I re-used mine and it spat un burnt oil everywhere even got it on my boots. Could try up jetting, although i had a similar problem but with a dep but not to that extreme but you had to change gear just right and it would just take off in 6th but catch it wrong and well it bogs like you said, hth
  18. I cant see why having different hubs and rims would make a difference? Has it worked since you've owned it?
  19. If you have no luck you could always buy a pair of hubs and have them relaced to some 17' rims? Excel rims would definately have something to fit.
  20. Not being harsh but why? I found with headphones that you couldnt really hear them whilst going along even turned right up (i dont like in ear ones which would be okay). Just a thought though, youd have to have the speakers pretty loud to be able to heaar them? Then everyone else at traffic lights etc will hear it too?

Your lights should always be on, front and back as a saftey thing. If you could turn them off i wouldnt anyway and itl probably be easier to use their scooter for your cbt.
  22. Hi, on my DT i used to use either bf Goodrich Crossengo's or michelin ac10's. Both done the job fine and fitted where as i tried a mitas co2 and it rubbed on the crap flap so way to big and also imo looked rubbish because it was too big.
  23. Very nice bikes, cant imagine you seeing much with them mirrors though...
  24. Get a DT Lanza?? 230cc and looks identical to a dt125re
  25. Sorry thought it may have been the same
