After five months (yes five months!) in the garage, I finally got my bike back today. Roll on 5pm so I can get out of this hole and go for a blast.

True! Great to see Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden do well. Likeable guys and Edwards' take no prisoners approach to interviews are always entertaining.

That seat doesn't look too comfy.

Forgot to mention about the slow speed steering there Babdbwoy - cheers for reminding me. I'm used to it now but my first few small roundabouts were, er, interesting.....

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement tail peice for my 2000 R6? I'm wanting to replace the original with the LED unit from the later (2000 - 2002) version.

I've got a 2000 R6. More than fast enough, not too uncomfy on the motorway (if you go quick enogh to keep the weight off your wrists, officer ). Wee bit wiggly over the rough stuff and is probably the worst bike ever for carrying a pillion. But then, that's not really why you'd buy an R6.....

My bike's been in the garage since it was recovered from the ratboys who stole it. It's had a new ignition barrel fitted and been rewired but I'm having a problem. When I turn the ignition on, everything lights up but the bike won't start, as though the engine cut off switch (that's the big red button Smitty ) is on, which it isn't. The mechanic's stumped and so am I. One thing I did notice is that the fuel light flashes a couple of times when it's switched on initially - is this some sort of diagnostic warning? Any help would be very much appreciated guys.

Managed to get a set of Hein Gericke Tribal Evo leathers on eBay for £105. Only been worn 5 times but don't fit the guy too well. Sweet. Now I have enough left for a new Shoei Kagayama replica helmet. Peach!

Yup, gotta love those incidents.....

Gonna buy myself a new set of two piece leathers. Anyone got any recommendations? Not wanting to spend a fortune (ideally £500 or less) and was looking at either Arlen Ness or Hein Gericke suits - anyone else use this kit?
