all exited today to recieve a nice shiny set of chain and sprocs i dropped a tooth on the front for sum fun...before i get the old chain off any of you got any tips on the split link i no which way to face it but is it best to use pliers to get it on? this is my first post in donkeys im back!

hey yer iv done this by poking it in the whole with a pin then petrol patched over it fingers crossed if not iv got jb weld which every one ses will do it no probs cheers

yerp this is the case Goff i did rush the first time and learnt from it iv done it properly this time according to petro patch but some people at work said it doesnt ever really work and recomended JB WELD as lots of you did so iv bought some and waiting for it to leak. i no i could buy another tank but then il have to get it painted and buy stickers from yam and the final cost would far exceed a diy job

il have to try that as the petro patch didnt work iv ordered some JB weld Cheers Goff il go buy some leak fix tomoz and be ready if it starts again lol determined not to buy a new tank

haha every one has said that iv searched ebay and found 2 blue ones the week ago and emailed them none of the breakers could garentee me it wouldnt leak so i didnt buy my really twisted and silly theory is if i spend £25 on different lotions and potions until i find one that actually works then i will still be better off than buying a second hand tank if i buy a black tank il have to get it sprayed etc so could just be cheaper than buying a new 1...do yam sell them pre painted new? anyone no a price? thanks for the link oldgitonabike you say exact same stuff as my old man could just be a age thing cheers

yer silly thinking on my behalf i didnt tell you that my petrol tank started leaking again on saturday so i took it off an went back to square one this time did 3patches a small 1, 1 bigger another on top of that first day on it again today i always forget how much i love it when im not riding it then when im on it i love it! set the powervalve i couldnt belive it was so easy! it was miles off and now runs better than ever lol off track! yer true although there seems to be quite a market for them although from what i can gather they are high maintanece go karts and to be honest im not ready to see my dt go i love everything about it after i get out of my little mood swings with it when it breaks etc

hello fellow yamerhamers iv got some one that is interesting in part exchanging his toyota 1.3starlet turbo Glanza for my bike and cash from my side..i no insurance will R*pe me for once i pass my test which is on friday but its a fairly quick car and was wondering what your thoughts are on it?

haha yer its probably cheaper to pay the fine for being caught with out insurance thatn pay insurance now a days con artists! 400quid to insure my dt thrird part fire and theft 1 year no claims...

hello iv bought a dtr wheel off ebay with a big chunky nobbley and me being a half whit assumed it was road legal got it today and i like it but it says "not for highway use" as i live 5mins from the woods which i happen to spend alot of time in whats the punishment if i get caught and they see its not for road use on the back tyre? cheers

thanks again for ur suggestions i bought some PETRO PATCH cleand my tank etc done a 1st coat let it get tacky for 20mins then cut out a small patch coated in it left it on it for few hours then another coat got up this morning stuck the tank on my bike pored petrol in and away i went no leaks i did another coat tonight happy chappy only cost £4.75

as if petrol wasnt expensive enough my bike has decided to shed a leak i opened the shed door ready to go to work this morning and thought Phhh sticking of petrol but then i remembered i had it running in the shed before i shut the door but didnt think anything of it got on started riding then had to flick over to reserves thought huh i filled up last night surely not stopped at work with a wet sock and leg iv got a tiny tiny hole in the bottom corner on the side the bike leans at petrol leaking out got home stripped the tank off bike cleaned it degreased.... whats my options? new tank? welded? do they sell repair stuff?
