Seems to be the norm now i am afraid I drive for a living as well and the fun is going out of the job fast !! I no longer let people out of road junctions, they never seem to want to say `thanks` as for 4x4 drivers they have got to be some of the most arogant and ignorant drivers on the road today !!!

Didn`t think that Paris was considered by a lot of the French to be part of France

Yep got to agree with all of the above ,,,,,,, I am getting to the point that I hate riding in Engeeerland, suppose I am lucky that I live in Lincolnshire, except on school and bank holidays I can always find nice quite roads to play on and even when the main roads are busy the back roads can be fun !! 99% of the French are far better drivers than Brits and certainly more bike aware than over here, you still get the ocasional tail gater, but that is getting less and less now and if ever you look like you are in trouble some one allways stops to ask if you are OK, even car drivers !! some thing you wouldn`t get over here !!!!!!!!!!!! My Fazer Thou has 24k miles on it now and 19k has been done in France, just hoping things improve with the Euro before the holidays, would hate to miss going cross the channel next year !!
  8. Sorry don`t know a lot about the Meta type alarms,, I have read about the problems that people have had with them after having a flat battery, i beleve you have to reimput the alarm code, but not sure. I have fitted all my bikes with alarms in the past and would usualy cut the ign wire in the loom and take a lead to the alarm unit then one back to loom, you may have to go into the loom to see if this has been done, if so rejoin the wire and see if it works. It has a twin cricuit immobilistion,,, not sure what that means ?? but like you say it could involve the fuel pump and ECU..
  9. I think it would have been better to have left the alarm on the bike,, but ha ho ,,,,, the Meta has an imboliser fitted as well, have you found the bridge and replaced it or have you just taken all the wiring out ?? Is all the wiring black ? just a long shot,,,,,,, but did you check the kill switch ?? also the side stand and clutch switchs ?

Bad news about the accident, but pleased to hear you are OK, seems to be the norm at the moment, people don`t seem to take much care crossing roads now, they seem to think that it`s the drivers and riders who should be looking out for them, not them being responsible for there own actions. There was a mobile phone advert not long a go,that suggested that if you used there phone, them everything stopped for you, buildings fell down out of your way, traffic stopped while you where talking to your mates on the phone !! Trouble is , some people seem to beliave this Got agree with whats been said on here though, you must report it. You could , you did, you ride a bike, which means you are guilty till proven inocent,, this is Engerland..
