yes i am talking about the recoil springs it is the length as the one in there but thinner and has less coils so im not sure if its right or not?

Ive already asked this once but no one helped so Ill try again. I have heard that the gear selector spring can break so I have just put a new one in but the new one I put in is thiner with less winds is this the wrong spring please help ta jason

I own a 99 r1 which i love but I heard that there had been snags with the gear selector spring breaking so I thought I would change it when the spring came it was thiner with less coils why is this can anyone help. also whilst im here my bike has 39000 miles on the clock is there any little snags that can pop up or is the r1 engine as hard as ive heard ta sheps :twisted:
