Hi there, I'm 16 in March and I have got myself a Yamaha DT50Mx (1987). The bike needs a bit of a tidy up, paint, fork seals and a few other bits. My dad has had a bike accident and my mum doesn't want me on the road, but I have a pit bike and I'm still learning. For the past 2 years I've been excited about getting a moped but I'm not sure if I'll ever get on the thing. Would it be worth upgrading up to a newer dt50 with disc brakes, better lighting etc just to make riding safer? Hope to hear back from you.

Hi Nathan, Welcome to the YOC, it's best if you do a proper intro before you start with the questions as peeps like to know who they are talking to and if you just start out with "my bikes broke how do I fix it?" without saying Hi first then most won't talk to you, I'm sure somone here has a fix for you so try again mate and you will have lots of helpful advice.
