I just bought a mechanicaly perfect march 2000 r1 and aprt from minor cosmetic blemishes,to the fairing only,not the frame,the speedo unit works fine,but the tacho needle wont budge.Is this a common thing or just a one off?Can anybody tell me which of the cables going into the unit supplys the tacho its signal cause I cant find it in the workshop manual.

The colour code that is.I also suppose that it gets its signal from the ignition pickup.Any help would be great.
