I stripped out a TZR RC a few years back, one of the barrels was so wrecked I was going to bin it. To try and find a replacement I phoned the guy I go to for my top end tuning...Mr Bob Farnham. Bob said, send me the barrel, I can repair almost anything.... I said, it's scrap, unrepairable as the piston and PV manager to get together and do the tango for a few cycles of the engine. Bob said - naaah, I have seen some bad blow ups - send it in, I can work with almost anything !! Off went the barell.... 3 days later I phone and .. Bob says, that is the most comprehensively destroyed barrel I have ever seen. It's scrap....... I started to say I told you so but thought I best not...he's a good bloke to keep happy ! mozzy Posted January 28, 2004 Share Posted January 28, 2004 ive seen alot worse in a car it was my mates ford escort rs shitty turbo he came to me said it made a bang and cut out i looked at the engine the conrod put a 6 inch hole in the back of the bloch and when i took the head off the piston in number 2 cylinder was buried in the head luckily enough i found a smashed up rs turbo in my mates scrap yard so i put that engine in the car it ran lovely went quite well then he wrapped the car round a lamp post so now he has a nissan pulsar gtir he gave me a lift back from work last night and fuck pulsars are fucking fast for a small hatch back the engine in the pulsar is a 2.0 turbo 4 wheel drive with a fron mounted intercooler and a t4 turbo im a bit of a car lover to i love bikes more though. he came down a dual carriageway doing 145 mph and i was holding the seat and i could hardly move with the force throwing u back in the seat is it the same on a suuperbike that does 160 mph i bet those big bikes take some getting used to Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Admin Alex Posted January 28, 2004 Admin Share Posted January 28, 2004 There is no comparison between a car and a bike, the speed in which a bike accelerates compared to a car is unbelievable :shock: I used to have a supra turbo which had intercooler, actuator, bigger turbo and ran 20psi and that was fecking quick and was probably only nearly as fast as my YZF mid to top, but i raced my uncle on his blackbird and the bike was out of site before i got to 70! :shock: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
