Hi everyone, I was just hoping somebody could help me with my Yamaha YQ50 Aerox. The problem is that I can't get it to run properly with my new exhaust. I have tried increasing the main jet to a few of the recommended sizes and have added a better air filter in accordance with the main jet, but the bike still won't run properly. I am unsure if the reason for this is actually to do with the jet size or is something else causing the problem? At the moment most of the jets I have tried have been too large and therefore the bike doesn't pull away with them and just splutters and sounds bubbly. I have tried moving down a few jet sizes but the bike still starts off sounding very bubbly giving me the idea it is still too high. However, when it does finally pull away it is only around 100meteres before the bike dies and my speed drops rapidly giving me the opposite idea that the jet is too small. Can anybody please tell me why it might do this?

Also, does anyone know what the rubber tube that connects to the old exhaust of a YQ50 does? As I am unsure what it does and therefore don't know if it could be apart of the problem.

If any of you know anything that could be of any help, please say as I would be extremely grateful for your advice.

Thanks a lot

Sam

Hi jimmy, thanks for your reply

Yes, I have put in the variator rollers and the clutch springs that came with my exhaust. These work nicely with my old exhaust but not with my new one which I got them with.

is it a leo vinci pipe? i fitted one of these a year or so ago to a bike and it ran shitty, would barely pull away .
