Hi there,

have you checked the HT lead to make sure it is good and there is no break in the wire ? If it is ok the primary resistance should read between 1.8-2.2 ohms at 20 degrees C (grey wire & red/white wire for cylinders 2&3)

secondary resistance should be between 9,600 to 14,400 ohms at 20 degrees C

Hope this helps you get back on the road

if you havent got means to test your plug cap and coil etc then you can try unscrewing the plug cap off the ht lead and cut 5mm off the ht lead with decent cutters, then re screw on the plug cap at least ten turns while pushing fairly hard to make sure a very good fit.. these bikes commonly have plug cap faults so you could replace this for a few quid while your there,,

okay guys thanks alot all the info was alot of help ..everything checks out okay as far as the ignition coils are concerned but the #2 cyl. sill feels cold to the touch .. i did notice one thing and thats when i covered the opening to the carb. and made it suck up more fuel the cyl. came alive so now im confused i know that they cant be clogged because i took the apart and cleaned them well so why is this cyl. the only one that's not firing it is getting fuel ...I'M now thinking maybe it needs a carb. sync....im going to check on that next ....i will let you guys know what happens .......or do you have any other ideas or input please let me know thanks ..
