First time i have ever serviced a bike, seemed to have gone ok but the running temp of my R6 has dropped from 82 to 76 is this ok, as my old R6 run at 82 as well

Mine runs from the mid 70s to the mid 80s depending how hard she is being ridden. In traffic it creeps up (highest I have seen it yet is 96, but I have not had it through a summer yet), but it soon drops again when you get moving. Not sure what temp the fan kicks in at. 101 I think though.

I wouldnt worry about your temps. Its fine.

My FZ6 runs at 72 at 60mph and around 80-90 at town riding. got it 102 last december lol the fan kicks in

Just a short note to add to this thread.

When doing a service to your bike in spring, short out the temperature sender to the fan and ensure that it starts and runs normally. You dont want to get stuck in traffic with a boiling engine.

My 01 R6 working temp is around 70 - 80, fan kicks in around 101.

Soon drops again once I'm moving. Usually in the 70s on the m/way.
