I have a 2007 Stratoliner and I need to replace the stock seat. I am looking at getting either a Corbin Dual Tour w/backrest or a Mustang Wide Touring Seat, also w/backrest. I seldom ride more than 150 miles at a time, usually on country roads. Corbin describes its seats as firmer than Mustang and Mustang agrees its seats are softer than Corbin, and owners agree. Corbin reps say the firmness is better for a long ride because softer materials compress, putting you closer to steel (or aluminum for the Strat). Any thoughts on what is better - firmer or softer? How do people feel about Corbin vs. Mustang? I am a 53 year old male, only about 5'6" and 160 lbs, pretty muscular so I don't have much padding in my butt. Any help is greatly appreciated.
