Posted April 7, 200817 yr Hi - new to this forum with a question. Bascially my (9 yr old) Fazer has recently begun to run quite poorly since it's last MOT around 3 weeks back. Symptons are - high petrol consumption (150 miles per tank vs 200 ish previously) - occasionally cutting out when idling at low revs - turning the screw makes little difference now (did previously) - engine stuttering on occasion; thought it was bad fuel initally but no longer Suspect problem may be carburetor related but unsure (and if so, what should I be looking to do/be looking for) ... any ideas ? Thanks in advance.
April 7, 200817 yr hi, sounds odd that a mot can cause you a fueling problem, ????? did they service it too? they may have trapped your fuel tank breather pipes under the tank. or poss choke is stuck on?
April 14, 200817 yr Author Yep, struck me as odd esp since they didnt service. However nothing else has changed as far as I can see. Thanks for the suggestion, will investigate this w/end (weather permitting)
