ericjzimmermann Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 i have a technical query...i just bought a 2001 r6...i drove it home about a 20 minute drive...let it sit for 10 minutes...drove again for about 20 minutes...i stalled the bike at a stop sign and it restarted without a problem...at the next stop sign i stalled it again...this time it would not start...not only that but with the key in the on position nothing happened...no lights cam on...the fuel pump didnt tick...nothing...i checked the battery and it was pushing 12.65 volts...check all the fuses and they all look good...any idea what this could be or what i should look for? jimmythehat Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 hi, when you say the battery has 12.6 volts thats when bike is not running so that is normal. do you have an alarm on bike?have you looked at main fuse? the green 30 amp one next to starter relay..check your battery terminals are tight,you may have bad connectoin / broken wire to ignition switch .
