Ladies & Gents,

I am looking for some help!

Me & mate started to service my 99 4XV R1 today, when undoing the sump plug I thought it semed loose, almost to easy to undo & when it was off and cleaned I unfortunatley found the dreaded threads from inside the sump, basically the p***k I paid to service the bike last year has over tightened the nut & basically torn the threads out of the sump so the poor bike is at the back of the garage not going anywhere fast.

To be honest I am not what you would call mechanically minded, I can do the basics & thats about it so the reason for this post is to try to get some advice from you guys as to what can be done now, If you have any ideas or suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Dave
