dtsteve Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 .....I'm new, not only on here but to Yam's, 2 strokes and rebuilding/spannering, so go easy with me. Since buying a 1979 dt 175 mx as winter project last year things haven't moved on that well, down to the fact that just about every part on it was knackered, tonight I discovered the the loom and wiring is well past it's best and will probably need another, anyone know where I might get one? along with a bottom yoke, original exhaust and throttle cable/assembly - for starters. So far have had frame powder coated and new piston and rebore - that's it, well apart from picking up a few bits' to go on once it's ready to go back together. thanks and if virtual drinks are in order, help yourself on me. cheers, steve.
yoda Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Welcome and good luck with the project. You could make a new electrical harness by taking the old one off and just copy it. The other bit you can find in MCN or on ebay. Good hunting!

Thanks yoda; would really like to try and make a new one but having never attempted anything like it b4 I think I'd struggle, mainly with the connectors, might seem like a stupid question but would I be able to re-use or purchase replacement block connectors, thanks again, steve.
