thinkin they were 34mm's back then im guessing that most likely there the same as xs 650 /tx 650 of same yr, look up both part #'s see if they match, if so you can find them, if not it might be a little tougher. Are the pitted or bent?

check part #'s here, they may even have em.

can any one tell me where i can buy new fork tubes for a 73 tx 500

it should be easy to find , tx and xs 34's should be the same up to 76 unless its early drum brake. , 77 up xs650's were 35mm.

you can get them re-hard chromed by philpots or fitforx to original spec.

they cost about £100 for both!

have you tried motoward, msnl or motolink?
